PM Kisan: Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an installment of ₹2,000 is transferred to the accounts of crores of farmers via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). However, the money often fails to reach the accounts of lakhs of farmers. If your PM Kisan installment is stuck, there is no need to panic; simply follow the step-by-step process outlined here.
PM Kisan: Fellow farmers, you are likely awaiting the next PM Kisan installment. However, before the ₹2,000 is released, you must complete a few essential tasks; otherwise, the money will not reach your account. There are three main reasons why installments get held up: incomplete e-KYC, the Aadhaar not being linked to the bank account, and pending land seeding. You can rectify these issues from the comfort of your home or by visiting a nearby CSC center.
If your name is on the list but you are concerned about the installment getting stuck, complete these three essential tasks immediately. You can carry out the entire process yourself from home without needing to go anywhere.
Complete the e-KYC process: The government has made e-KYC mandatory to avail the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme. If your KYC is pending, the ₹2,000 installment could be withheld.
How to complete e-KYC?
Farmers can complete e-KYC in three ways:
OTP-based e-KYC (available on the PM-Kisan portal and mobile app)
Biometric-based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centers and State Service Centers)
Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on the PM Kisan mobile app)
OTP-based e-KYC
Visit the official PM-Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in).
Click on the e-KYC option. Enter your Aadhaar number and complete biometric verification using the OTP received on your mobile.
Face Authentication-based e-KYC
Download the PM-Kisan Mobile App and Aadhaar Face RD App from the Google Play Store.
Open the app and log in using your PM-Kisan registered mobile number.
Go to the 'Beneficiary Status' page.
If your e-KYC status shows 'No', click on 'e-KYC'.
Next, enter your Aadhaar number and provide consent to scan your face.
Once your face is successfully scanned, the e-KYC process will be complete.
Link your bank account with Aadhaar
PM-Kisan funds are transferred to your Aadhaar-linked account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, the transfer fails.
How to link your bank account with Aadhaar?
Visit your bank branch, fill out the Aadhaar Seeding Form, and get your account linked with NPCI. You can check the 'Aadhaar Bank Seeding Status' by visiting the 'Know Your Status' section on the portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
Ensure 'Land Seeding' status is 'YES'
To avail the benefits of PM-Kisan, the record of your cultivable land must be mapped on the portal. If your status shows 'Land Seeding: NO', the funds will not be credited, even if your name is on the list.
How to rectify this?
Contact your nearest Agriculture Department office or Tehsil office (Patwari/Tehsildar) and submit your land documents (Khasra/Khatiyan) to update the land seeding status.
How to check your status?
Visit pmkisan.gov.in. Click on the 'Know Your Status' option. Enter your registration number and the captcha code. Carefully check the status to see if 'YES' (in green) appears next to e-KYC Status, Aadhaar Bank Seeding Status, and Land Seeding. If 'YES' is displayed for all three, your installment will be credited to your account without any interruption.
