Ishan Kishan created havoc! Created history by scoring 250 runs in Duleep Trophy final, many big records broken

Chennai. In the final of Duleep Trophy 2026, East Zone captain Ishan Kishan created such a storm with the bat that many big records were made in his name simultaneously. Ishan played a memorable inning of 250 runs on the second day of the title match being played between East Zone and South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chennai.

Left-handed batsman Ishaan completed his double century in just 270 balls. He faced 301 balls and scored 250 runs before retiring hurt and returning to the dressing room. His innings included 27 fours and 7 sixes.

250 runs for East Zone, many records destroyed

Ishan Kishan has become the third batsman to score a double century for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy. Before him, Arun Lal and Saba Karim had achieved this feat.

However, Ishaan has become the first batsman from East Zone to score a century in the final match. Earlier, the record of playing the biggest innings for East Zone in the title match was in the name of Wriddhiman Saha. Saha had scored 170 runs in the 2012 final.

Ishaan's inning of 250 runs left this record far behind.

Seventh batsman to score 200+ in Duleep Trophy final

Ishan Kishan has become the seventh batsman to score 200 or more runs in the Duleep Trophy final.

Not only this, he has also become the wicket-keeper batsman who played the biggest innings in the Duleep Trophy final. He broke Dinesh Karthik's record in this matter. Karthik had scored 183 runs in the 2010 final while playing for South Zone.

Ishan has also become the first wicketkeeper-captain to score a double century in a Duleep Trophy final.

First batsman to score double century in ODI and Duleep Trophy

Ishan Kishan achieved another special achievement with this innings. He has become the first batsman to score double centuries in One Day International and Duleep Trophy.

His innings completely turned the final match in favor of East Zone.

230 run partnership with Kumar Kushagra

Ishan Kishan along with Kumar Kushagra made a brilliant partnership of 230 runs for the fifth wicket. Kushagra also supported him well and played a century.

Kumar Kushagra scored 101 runs in 132 balls. His innings included 8 fours and 5 sixes.

East Zone score 626/6

Till T-break, East Zone had scored 626 runs losing 6 wickets in the first innings.

Apart from Ishan Kishan and Kumar Kushagra, Shikhar Mohan played an important inning of 85 runs. Whereas, Abhimanyu Easwaran contributed 72 runs and Vaibhav Suryavanshi contributed 44 runs.

East Zone captain Ishan Kishan's inning of 250 runs has made the match completely exciting on the second day of the final.
