‘Hanuman Ansh : At the age of just 21, the producer of “Hanuman Ansh” Anupriya Nagar is in the headlines. Interestingly, she had no plans to become a filmmaker. While studying economics in the UK, she began researching tech company founders. During this time she became interested in this spiritual personality after reading about the connection between Steve Jobs and Neem Karoli Baba. This research later led her to filmmaking.

According to the report, Anupriya Nagar said that film production was not part of her career plan. After completing her studies in economics, she got a job in the art industry in Switzerland and was preparing to move there. However, in her final year of study, she began researching the founders of big tech companies and their ideas. During this time she learned about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ visit to India and his association with Neem Karoli Baba at Kainchi Dham.

From research to filmmaking

Anupriya became interested in the Indian spiritual personality through the story of an American tech entrepreneur. He did further research to understand the life and influence of Neem Karoli Baba. At first, she thought, this research could be translated into a book or comic. However, after returning to India, she met filmmaker Vishal Chaturvedi, who was already working on a project on Neem Karoli Baba. This encounter later led to the creation of Hanuman Ansh.

Recognized by box office success

According to Anupriya, earning was not the main reason behind this project. In an earlier interview with Doordarshan, she said that making a film on Neem Karoli Baba was risky, but her aim was to bring the story to the people, not to chase box office figures. However, the film’s success brought her recognition at a young age. Hanuman Anshe surprised everyone by earning Rs.122 crores in 31 days of its release.

The story found a connection with a family of art collectors

Anupriya comes from a family that has always been steeped in art and artists. Her family includes art collectors, and she has been surrounded by famous artists since childhood. This environment fueled his interest in storytelling. His father was initially surprised by his decision to forgo a traditional career and pursue filmmaking. However, after learning about the subject of the film, the family’s support increased, and the success of Hanuman Ansh strengthened this support.
