New Delhi .Anger has come to light in Pakistan over a promotional video released before the upcoming cricket series between India and Afghanistan. In this video released by Afghanistan Cricket Board, Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir are shown as part of the map of India. After the video surfaced, Pakistan Cricket Board has raised objection on it.

Afghanistan Cricket Board had shared this promotional video on its official social media account on Sunday regarding the upcoming series with India. The map of India used in the video showed Gilgit-Baltistan and PoK as part of India. After this, the reaction to this video intensified in Pakistan and the Cricket Board also registered its objection.

Regarding this matter, it has come to light that Pakistan is preparing to raise it at the international level. However, no official announcement has been made yet in this regard. This dispute has come to light at a time when relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are already tense.

For some time now, there have been several incidents of clashes and firing over the border dispute between the two countries. Pakistan has also been accusing Afghanistan that its land is used for attacks by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Pakistan has been blaming Afghanistan on the issue of terrorism. In such an environment, the map used in the promotional video of the Cricket Board has created a new controversy amidst the tension between the two countries.

On the other hand, there is continuous contact and cooperation in the relations between India and Afghanistan. Even though formal diplomatic relations have not been established between India and Taliban, there is no major tension in the relations between the two countries. India is helping Afghanistan in the field of economic development. According to experts, through such videos, Afghanistan wants to indicate that it is pursuing its foreign policy independently and can move towards strengthening relations with India regardless of Pakistan's objections.

Afghanistan Cricket Board in its message to the series said that the entire country is eagerly waiting for this series. The board described it as a series that will bring closer two countries whose history and culture are linked to each other. The message also said that this match is more than just a match.

This series between India and Afghanistan is to be played on 13, 15 and 17 September at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The controversy over the map before the series has now become a topic of political and diplomatic discussion beyond cricket.
