Easy method to make Bisi Belle Bath
step 1: First of all, wash rice and arhar dal thoroughly. If you want, you can keep them soaked in water for some time. This will make cooking easier.
Step 2: Now add chopped carrots, beans, potatoes and green peas to the washed rice and lentils. Add turmeric and salt to it.
Step 3: Now add about 3.5 to 4 cups of water in it and close the lid of the pressure cooker. Cook it until rice, lentils and vegetables are cooked well. After cooking, the mixture should be slightly soft and thick, because the specialty of Bisi Bele Bath is its soft and slightly thick consistency.

Step 4: Now heat a pan. Add chana dal, urad dal, whole coriander, cumin, black pepper, fenugreek seeds, cloves, cinnamon and dry red chilli. Lightly fry all the spices on low flame. When a nice aroma starts coming from the spices, turn off the gas.
Step 5: Take out the roasted spices in a plate and let it cool down a bit. After this, put them in the mixer and grind them finely. Take care that the spices do not burn, otherwise the entire dish may taste bitter.
Step 6: Now add freshly prepared masala to the cooked rice, pulses and vegetables in the cooker. Mix everything well. If the mixture seems too thick, add some hot water and cook on low flame for a few minutes. This will mix the spices well.
Step 7: Heat ghee or oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds in it. When the mustard seeds start crackling, add curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida. Now pour this tadka over the prepared Bisi Bele Bath recipe.
Step 8: Now pour some desi ghee on the hot Bisi Bele Bath. By adding ghee both its taste and aroma become better. It is best served hot.
