Game Desk: Indian cricket team's veteran batsman Rohit Sharma has intensified his preparations for the One Day (ODI) series against West Indies starting on home ground from 27th September. The official Instagram handle of Hitman's media team 'Team Row' shared a picture of his training, captioning it as “Amazing”. 39-year-old Rohit Sharma, who has already retired from T20I and Test cricket, is working hard to leave his mark in the upcoming ODI series.

At the age of 39, questions are being raised regarding his participation in the 2027 ODI World Cup, but Rohit is answering the critics with his bat. Recently, during the England tour, he played a stormy inning of 138 runs in the third ODI played at Lord's. Although, chasing the huge target of 388 runs, the Indian team lost the match by 27 runs, but this inning of Rohit, adorned with 17 fours and 5 sixes in 110 balls, had silenced his critics.

After the review meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held in Mumbai, Board Secretary Devjit Saikia openly supported former captain Rohit Sharma. Dismissing speculations about Rohit's retirement and age, Saikia said, “He has been performing brilliantly in all the matches, so what more do you need? He has scored 138 runs in the last match, so there is no point in any kind of speculation.” In ODIs this year, Rohit has scored 379 runs in 9 innings at an average of 42.11 and a strike rate of more than 99.
