While state minister and BJP leader Narayan Rane also supported the demand of VHP. Rane supported the ban citing the risk of ‘love jihad’ on the entry of Muslims. On these things, Amrita Fadnavis said that if cases like ‘Love Jihad’ are coming up, strict laws should be brought in this matter and the existing laws should be strengthened.
