Red Fort Blast: Who is the mastermind of Red Fort Blast? NIA told in the charge sheet how the blast was carried out while sitting in the car.

New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a big claim in the investigation of the car explosion that took place in November 2025 near Delhi Red Fort. According to the NIA charge sheet, the alleged mastermind of this attack was Umar un Nabi, who was killed in the blast. The investigating agency has described him as the person allegedly handling the operations of the reactivated Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind module. Now the question is, how did Umar un Nabi carry forward this alleged terrorist conspiracy and how did the car filled with explosives reach the Red Fort?

What allegations were made against Umar Un Nabi?

According to the NIA, Umar un Nabi alias Pinda and Rahul Bhat were allegedly engaged in reactivating the inactive Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind module since the beginning of 2022. The investigating agency has described him as the alleged operational in-charge of AGUH Interim. According to the agency, this module was part of the alleged re-activation of al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent.

NIA also told that Umar had activated the bomb while sitting in the car. The NIA alleged that Nabi radicalized people, spread ideology promoting martyrdom and alleged suicidal violence, organized secret meetings and arranged training and logistics for terrorist activities.

The charge sheet also mentions Nabi's alleged plan to go to Afghanistan. According to NIA, he was preparing to go to Afghanistan in the name of Hijrat after joining fundamentalist ideology. The investigating agency claims that Nabi and others associated with the module had radical literature and shared it among themselves. The investigation examined documents such as the definition of Jihad, requirements of Jihad, 21 objectives of Jihad, 39 ways of service and participation in Jihad, and 44 ways of supporting Jihad. According to the agency, these documents sought to justify violence and armed conflict and also contained references to covert operations, concealment of identities, and various types of attacks.

How was the alleged terrorist module running?

According to the NIA charge sheet, the accused people kept in touch through encrypted messaging apps like Signal. It is alleged that Nabi played an important role in raising money for this alleged module, acquiring illegal weapons and providing space to the members and items allegedly to the conspiracy.

The investigation has also revealed that alleged meetings were held in Jammu-Kashmir and Delhi-NCR and training was given to the members. The investigating agency also claimed to have recovered chemicals and laboratory equipment. In the forensic examination of the items found after the explosion, it has been said in the charge sheet that traces of TATP and ammonium nitrate were found.

What was in the car that exploded near the Red Fort?

According to the NIA, the car that exploded near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025, at around 6:50 pm, was allegedly converted into a vehicle-based explosive device. The investigating agency alleges that Nabi and a co-accused had purchased a second hand car as part of a conspiracy. Nabi was present in the same vehicle at the time of the blast. His identity has been claimed to be confirmed by DNA testing of biological samples found from the spot during the investigation. During forensic investigation, residues of TATP and ammonium nitrate were also found on the items found at the scene. According to the NIA, forensic evidence indicated that the explosive planted in the vehicle was activated through a command mechanism from inside.

How much damage was caused in the explosion?

11 people were killed in this blast near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025, while 29 people were injured. The explosion also caused considerable damage to nearby property and many vehicles. NIA alleges that this attack was not a sudden action, but there was a big conspiracy behind it. According to the agency, the conspiracy allegedly included reactivation of the old module, radicalization of people, training, raising money and weapons and preparation of explosives.

What will happen against the Prophet after his death?

Omar un Nabi died in the explosion itself. Therefore, the legal proceedings against him are considered closed. However, the NIA has given details of his alleged role and the entire conspiracy in its charge sheet. The allegations made in the charge sheet are the side of the investigating agency and there will be a judicial inquiry in the court. NIA has described Nabi as the mastermind and operational in-charge of this alleged terrorist conspiracy, but the final decision on these charges will be taken only after the judicial process.
