News Desk. Good news has come out regarding the 124 km long four lane being built between Munger-Mirzachowki. In the first phase of the project, vehicular movement is expected to start after Durga Puja on the road between Munger and Bhagalpur. So far, about 80 to 85 percent of the work has been completed.

Construction reached final stage

Construction agencies are busy completing the remaining work expeditiously. The work of shifting three high tension electricity towers coming in the way in Patam area of Munger has been started. Road work is still pending in some parts of Munger, Bariyarpur and Patam.

The overbridge being built near Telia Pond is also said to be in the final stages of construction. The remaining work is targeted to be completed by the third week of October.

Pressure on Vikramshila bridge will also reduce

With the introduction of four lanes, traffic between Munger and Bhagalpur is expected to become easier and the pressure of vehicles on nearby major routes will reduce. At present, due to closure of movement of big vehicles on Vikramshila Bridge, a large number of vehicles are going towards Shri Krishna Bridge.

After the new four lane becomes operational, these vehicles will be able to get an alternative and better route. This is expected to reduce the problem of jam in Munger, Bhagalpur and surrounding areas.

The way can be found after Durga Puja

Considering the current status of construction, there is preparation to start operations on Munger-Bhagalpur four lane in the first phase after Durga Puja. However, the final timeline will depend on the progress of the remaining construction work.
