New Delhi . Bollywood actor Salman Khan has moved the Delhi High Court to stop the release of the film Blackbuck, which is said to be based on incidents to his life. In the petition filed on behalf of Salman Khan, it has been alleged that an attempt has been made to harm his image through the film. The actor told the court that in the film he has been linked to many serious crimes for which no case was ever registered or prosecuted against him. The petition also claims that the release of the film could have a serious impact on his reputation and personal safety.

During the hearing held in the Delhi High Court on Thursday, lawyer Ravi Prakash, appearing for Salman Khan, said that the film is based on incidents to his client's life and the legal action to the black buck case that came to light in October 1998. He said that in the posters, teasers and other materials to the promotion of the film, hints to Salman Khan's name, his appearance and his famous events have been used. In such a situation, there is a danger of presenting such an image of the actor in front of the audience which can affect the cases pending in the court.

The petition also said that a media trial has been allegedly conducted in the cases to Salman Khan by showing scenes like court proceedings in the film. The actor claimed that the film tried to portray him as guilty through fabricated testimony, alleged forensic findings and dramatic courtroom events. He says that such a presentation can affect the rights guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution and the principle of fair hearing.

Salman Khan's petition also alleges that in the film he has been linked to cases like intimidating witnesses, inciting false testimony, bribing medical experts and putting pressure on investigating agencies and the judicial process. According to the petition, many of these allegations are such that the actor never faced any real legal cases.

Another interesting twist in the case came when the film's producer Amit Jani told the court that Blackbuck Battle for Legacy is not ready for release at the moment. According to the producer, the film has not yet received the certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification i.e. CBFC. In such a situation, in the current situation the film cannot be released even on any OTT platform. After this statement of the producer, the ongoing legal debate regarding the release of the film has become even more important.

In the petition, Salman Khan has also alleged that in some scenes of the film, an attempt has been made to link him with the underworld and international terrorist organizations. They claim that such content can make them the object of public hatred and ridicule and can also pose a threat to their safety. The actor has described it as causing serious and irreparable damage to his reputation.

At present, Delhi High Court has fixed September 30 for the next hearing of the case. Now everyone's eyes will be on how the court looks at the content of the film and Salman Khan's objections and what direction is taken regarding the release of the film.
