New Delhi: Railway Recruitment Board has declared the exam date of RRB Technician Exam 2026. CBT-1 examination for recruitment to 6557 posts will be held from October 6 to 9 at various centers across the country. Exam city slip for the candidates will be issued 10 days before the examination and admit card will be issued four days before. The exam will have 100 questions and negative marking will be applicable for wrong answers.

Technician exam will be held from 6th to 9th October

The date of Technician Recruitment Examination has been released by the Railway Recruitment Board. Through this recruitment, candidates will be selected for a total of 6557 posts in Railways. Candidates appearing in the exam will now have to complete their preparation as per the exam schedule.

According to the notification of RRB, CBT-1 exam will be conducted from 6th to 9th October at various examination centers across the country. A total of 100 multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam and candidates will get 90 minutes to complete it.

There will be negative marking on wrong answers

One-third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in RRB Technician CBT-1. To be successful in the examination, General and EWS candidates will be required to secure 40 percent marks, OBC and SC candidates will be required to secure 30 percent marks, while ST candidates will be required to secure 25 percent marks.

City slip and admit card will be issued before the examination

The exam city slip of Railway Technician exam will be released 10 days before the exam. Candidates can check it on the official website of RRB rrbapply.gov.in Will be able to download through. At the same time, the admit card will be issued four days before the examination.

In the admit card, candidates will get information about the exam centre, exam timings and other important instructions. Candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully before appearing in the examination.

This much salary will be given for technician posts

Candidates selected through the recruitment process will be given salary as per the post. The candidate selected on the post of Technician Grade-I will get a salary of Rs 29,200 per month, while the candidate selected on the post of Technician Grade-III will get a salary of Rs 19,900 per month.
