Sea surface temperatures in the equatorial Pacific have reached 3 degrees Celsius above normal. America's Noah Climate Predict Center has released the latest report of El Nino on Thursday.

According to the report, the effect of El Nino has started becoming visible in the Atlantic and Caribbean region. In the month of September, severe storms are active in the Atlantic region, but this time the storms are silent, the reason for this has been said to be El Nino. This time in the Atlantic, storms have not yet become active due to the speed of atmospheric winds being affected. El Nino has also affected the winds blowing in the Caribbean region. Due to which the speed of winds has become weak and divided.

Due to this change, there is a drought situation in the area, which can become a major concern. According to Noah, currently the sea surface temperature in the equatorial Pacific has reached more than 3 degrees Celsius above normal, which had remained around 2.5 degrees Celsius in the last month. Apart from this, it remains at 1.8 degrees Celsius in some parts and has crossed 2.5 degrees Celsius in some areas of the Pacific Ocean.

Widespread effects of El Nino can be seen in the Northern Hemisphere. Therefore, unexpected changes will be seen in the weather. El Nino will be at its peak between October and December and the probability of it turning into Super El Nino is said to be 90 percent higher. The effect of which will likely remain greater till February.

Western disturbances may also affect India

Nainital: Dr. Narendra Singh, senior environmental scientist of Aryabhatta Observational Science Research Institute, ARIES, said that all the countries of the world are keeping an eye on El Nino due to the possibility of unexpected changes in the weather due to El Nino. There is apprehension regarding its impact on western disturbances in India.

If El Nino remains effective, it may affect western disturbances. The possibility of seeing its effect in snowfall and rain cannot be ruled out at all. But since India is mostly an island, there are local influences on the weather here. Which may have a favorable effect on the weather.
