Raipur. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday arrested Chetan Barghoria, Additional Collector of Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, in the much talked about CGPSC irregularities case of Chhattisgarh.
This action has been taken in connection with the investigation of money laundering case to alleged irregularities in Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission during the tenure of the previous Congress government.
After his arrest, Chetan Barghoria was produced before the special court on Friday. The court has sent him on ED remand for 6 days. Now, during the remand period, ED will interrogate him on various aspects to the case.
In this case, ED has cited the receipt of WhatsApp chat of Chetan Barghoria with Utkarsh Chandrakar. On this basis, remand was demanded for questioning. The special court accepted the demand of ED and sent Chetan Barghoria on remand for six days.
Chetan Barghoria is posted as Additional Collector in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. His arrest has been made on the basis of facts revealed during the investigation of a money laundering case to alleged irregularities in CGPSC. After getting the remand from the court, now ED will interrogate Chetan Barghoria in detail regarding the case.
