Posting of 67 medical officers to improve health services in Balaghat, new health centers will open.

After the death of children due to measles and malaria in Balaghat, the government is busy in improving the system. Therefore, 67 medical officers have been posted in the district. Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned to strengthen health institutions. Along with this, approval has been given for 2 new PHCs, 1 SHC and 2 MMUs. As per requirement, the posts of ASHA and ANM will also be approved.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that drinking water and child nutrition services will be strengthened through inter-departmental coordination. Instructions have been given to do regular follow up of children and beneficiaries with Anganwadi centres. Several instructions have been issued for the health facilities of Balaghat by holding a meeting of officials through video conferencing from the official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Bhopal. By connecting the local people with the health awareness campaign, they have been asked to do 100% vaccination. Timely registration of every pregnant woman and all ANCs have been done.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will inaugurate the 32nd Foundation Day program of Human Rights Commission on 13 September.

Instructions have been given to identify pregnant women with high risk pregnancies and take their regular follow up. To make health services more effective, physicians and health officials will have to remain at the field level. Shukla directed to pay special attention to the treatment of children affected by congenital diseases by identifying them. Identify children affected by problems like congenital heart disease, cleft lip, club foot etc. and get their necessary surgery and treatment done on time. Shukla said that health services at the Panchayat level should be strengthened through public participation. Motivate Panchayats to become Suman Panchayat and make citizens aware about health services. Shukla gave instructions to conduct a special cleanliness campaign regarding health and cleanliness. Necessary support should be given from the government level to provide human resources, medicines, equipment, transportation and other necessary facilities as per the requirement of the district.
