Delhi: Mohammad Kaif, younger brother of Indian cricket team's fast bowler Mohammad Shami, is in big trouble. Actually, a case of rape has been registered against Mohammad Kaif in Ashiana police station of Lucknow. The police have registered this FIR on the basis of a woman's complaint. The woman has accused Kaif of sexually exploiting her by promising her marriage. The woman has also accused Kaif's brother Haseeb of threatening her after the complaint.

The woman is divorced and has a son. According to the FIR, she met Mohammad Kaif through a common friend in the year 2020. At that time the woman lived in a posh society of Ghaziabad. The woman alleges that Kaif had promised to marry her.

Shami's brother accused of rape

According to the complaint, the woman has alleged that on December 9, 2023, Mohammad Kaif raped her in a hotel in Kolkata on the promise of marriage. The woman also claims that after this she was sexually exploited on different occasions in many places and cities.

The woman said in the complaint that at the very beginning of the relationship, she had told Kaif about her previous marriage and son. It is alleged that Kaif had said at that time that he had no problem with the woman's past or her child.

Woman used to work in airline

According to the information recorded in the FIR, the woman worked as cabin crew in an airline in New Delhi between 2023 and 2026. The woman alleges that Kaif did not like her job and on her insistence she left the job.

The woman further claimed that after the IPL auction in December 2025, Kaif had talked to her about marriage. However, according to her, Kaif did not marry her despite promising to marry her.

Kaif's brother Haseeb also accused of threatening

The woman has also made serious allegations against Mohammad Kaif's brother Haseeb in the complaint. According to him, in May 2026, he met Kaif's mother and his brother Haseeb at the house of a cricket coach in Amroha. The woman alleges that during this meeting Haseeb threatened her. After this he lodged a complaint at Ashiana police station in Lucknow.

Police registered FIR against Shami's brother

On the basis of the woman's complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Mohammad Kaif under sections to rape. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Haseeb for threatening him.

At present the investigation of the case is going on. The allegations made in the FIR are based on the statement of the complainant and can be confirmed only after investigation. More information is expected to emerge in this case as the police investigation progresses.
