Seven BRS leaders from Varadarajpur were arrested for allegedly spraying turmeric water on Congress leaders heading to K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence. A court remanded them to 15 days in judicial custody following a police investigation.

Siddipet: Police arrested seven BRS leaders of Varadarajpur village in Mark mandal on the charge of spraying turmeric water on Congress leaders who were proceeding towards former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence in Erravelli on last Tuesday.
When the Congress leaders had arrived to lay-siege to Rao’s residence, the BRS leaders reportedly poured turmeric water on the vehicle the Congress leaders were travelling in.
Following the objections of Congress Dalit leaders, the State government asked the police to probe into the allegations. During the investigation, the police took them into custody in Vijayawada on Sunday night. They were produced before a court, which sent them to a 15-day remand.
