**What are the application criteria?**
For the rural Home Guard post, candidates must have passed at least the 7th standard. For the Urban Home Guard post, candidates must have passed the 10th standard (Matriculation) examination.
For the Rural Home Guard post, candidates must be permanent residents of the specific block in Deoghar district from which they are applying.

For the Urban Home Guard post, candidates must be ordinary residents of the urban area of ​​Deoghar district.
A self-attested residence certificate issued by a competent authority must be submitted as proof of residence.
For both rural and urban posts, the candidate's age must be between 19 and 40 years as of January 1, 2026.

What is the application fee?

What is the selection process?
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This will include a 1-mile run, high jump, long jump, and shot put. There will be separate standards for male and female candidates.

Technical Skill Test: This applies only to candidates for the Technical Urban Home Guard post. The test will carry 100 marks, with a passing requirement of 30 marks.
Merit List and Document Verification: A merit list will be prepared after all tests are concluded. Selected candidates will undergo document verification, a medical fitness check, and police verification.
Training and Enrollment: Selected candidates will undergo basic Home Guard training. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be enrolled as Home Guards.
