news desk – Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's film 'Haivaan' released this week seems to be flopping badly at the box office. The film was released at a time when 'Hanuman Ansh', based on faith and devotion, is doing great business in theatres. At the same time, 'Mirzapur The Movie', which was converted from a web series to a film, also remains the first choice of the audience. In such a situation, 'Haivaan' did not get a chance to establish its hold at the box office.

The trailer of 'Haivaan', directed by famous director Priyadarshan, received a good response. It was believed that the pairing of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan would attract the audience to the theatres, but after its release the film could not live up to the expectations.

Earned only Rs 7.35 crore in the first weekend

'Haivaan' had collected Rs 3 crore on the first day on 11th September i.e. Friday. It was expected that the film's earnings would increase on Saturday and Sunday, but the collection declined on the second day itself.

5,759 shows of the film were run on Saturday, earning around Rs 2.50 crore. At the same time, the number of shows decreased to 4,374 on Sunday. On Sunday, the film did a business of only Rs 1.85 crore.

In this way, the domestic box office collection of 'Haivaan' in the first weekend was only Rs 7.35 crore. At the same time, the worldwide earning of the film has reached only Rs 11.55 crore.

Bad condition of a film with a budget of 130 crores

The estimated budget of 'Haivaan' is said to be around Rs 130 crore. In such a situation, the initial earnings of the film are very disappointing. The film will need a huge surge in the coming days to recover its costs, but looking at the current trend, this seems difficult.

Dominance of 'Hanuman Ansh' and 'Mirzapur The Movie'

Amidst the weak start of 'Haivaan' at the box office, 'Hanuman Ansh' is continuously performing well. Made with a budget of around Rs 2 crore, this film collected Rs 22.50 crore on the 38th day of its release i.e. Sunday. The worldwide earnings of the film have now crossed Rs 268 crore.

On the other hand, 'Mirzapur The Movie' also made a strong collection of Rs 13.25 crore on the second Sunday. The film has so far earned Rs 266.04 crore worldwide. Amidst the stellar performance of both these films, it has become a big challenge for 'Haivaan' to attract the attention of the audience.
