According to the report of 'Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air' (CREA), 70 percent of Russia's energy imports from the world in August last year came from India. The market value of 120,000 liters of gasoline sent by Russia was 7.8 million euros. The report also said that the amount of gasoline imported by Russia in July increased by 7 times in August. And this import amount is 3 times more than last year. It has also been claimed that all the petrol India sent to Russia was produced at the Vadina refinery in Gujarat, and was sold by Naira Energy, banned by the European Union, to the Russian company Rosneft.

Ukraine has recently stepped up its attacks on Russia. Ukrainian drones continue to target Russian oil refineries. As a result of which fuel production is interrupted, Russia has to buy petrol from India.
