The discussion regarding the name of the candidate in All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) for the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election has intensified. Party president Badruddin Ajmal is likely to contest elections from Nagaon.
The party’s second favorite candidate Rezaul Karim Sarkar said that in order to win the elections in Nagaon, he wants party president Badruddin Ajmal to contest the elections.
Rezaul Karim Sarkar said that if the aim is to ensure AIUDF’s victory in Nagaon then it would be better for Badruddin Ajmal to contest the election.
His statement indicates that the party leadership is considering fielding its prominent face in the Nagaon by-election.
