Recently, WhatsApp launched a number of new features to enhance user experience while safeguarding privacy. Recently, a number of additions have been launched, including the ability to purchase bus tickets using the app and increased access to the Meta AI chatbot.

Additionally, the instant messaging app has just included a new feature that will make it easier for you to go through your messages. The new “chat filters” tool will make it simple for users to look for messages from certain contacts, organizations, or companies.

Describe chat filters.
Chat filters are features or tools in chat apps that let users prioritize, arrange, or categorize their discussions according to certain standards. Chat filters in messaging applications like WhatsApp enable users to quickly and effectively identify the most relevant discussions, just as filters in e-commerce platforms help users find the correct items or in job search platforms like LinkedIn help users find relevant job postings.

Chat filters enable users to arrange chats according to sender, keywords, groups, or time, which simplifies the task of managing a high message volume. This feature allows users to concentrate on the most significant or pertinent discussions and simplify their communication, much as labels and categories are used in Gmail to organize emails.

“Being able to respond to messages quickly is more crucial than ever as more and more people do more on WhatsApp. In order to help you do that without having to go through your whole inbox, WhatsApp announced the debut of new chat filters today in a press release.

FURNISHING YOUR WHATSAPP CHAT FILTERS
Three filters have been added to WhatsApp at this time: Groups, Unread, and All.

With WhatsApp, the All filter shows all of your messages in their original view, which is basically all of your conversations with no filters applied. On the other hand, the “Unread” filter helps you focus and catch up on outstanding messages by only displaying conversations that you haven’t replied to or that have been marked as unread.

WhatsApp shows all of your group conversations when you choose the “Groups” option, which makes it simpler to view and manage group chats independently of individual conversations.

According to the Times of India, WhatsApp thinks that filters would “make it easier for people to stay organised, find their most important conversations, and help navigate through messages more efficiently.”

The Meta AI assistant on WhatsApp is another feature that’s garnering a lot of interest. At Meta Connect 2023, the business debuted Meta AI, an AI-powered conversation assistant. The AI chatbot’s integration with WhatsApp was revealed at the time by Meta.

While some US users were able to use the AI chatbot in November of last year, Indian customers were not able to do so. But now, a number of Indian customers have access to the Meta AI assistant, which can make drawings and answer questions.
