The murder case of Renuka Swamy is one of the most gruesome and brutal homicides that has come to light. In a significant development in the case Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has reportedly confessed to borrowing Rs 40 lakh from one of his friends to pay off other accused individuals to destroy evidence. Additionally it has been reported that the actor had already paid Rs 30 lakh to others to surrender. This news comes just days after NDTV reported that Darshan allegedly offered Rs 15 lakh to three men to take responsibility for Renuka Swamys murder. Currently investigations are ongoing and Darshan is being investigated in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case. On June 8 2024 police recovered Renuka Swamys body. Reports indicate that the victim was employed at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. Allegations suggest that Renuka had been sending lewd messages to Kannada actress Pavithra Gowad who was a friend of Darshan. Angered by this Renuka Swamy was reportedly murdered and his body was allegedly disposed of in a canal in Kamaksshipalya Bengaluru in Darshans presence. Furthermore previous reports from Karnataka police officials claimed that Swamy was thrashed by Darshan and his aides leading to his death. It was Pavithra who instigated Darshan to punish Renukaswamy. Accordingly the plan was hatched sources claimed. As the investigation progresses several Kannada actors have come out in support of Darshan. Actress Rachita Ram recently called on the media to maintain unbiased and transparent reporting when discussing the investigation. “I pray for the departed soul Renukaswamy. I hope his family gains the strength to bear the loss. I hope justice will be delivered in this murder case. Darshan introduced me to the cinema industry. He is like my mentor. I cannot believe that the person who used to correct my mistakes and guide me was involved in the case. I believe that the police will bring out the truth. Hope the media will remain unbiased and transparent in their reports” her statement read.
