According to the report of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing the AR feature on the beta version of Android. The beta version on which testing is being done has version number 2.24.13.14. The beta version can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
After the support of AR comes, users will be able to use many filters and effects during video calling. A screenshot of the new feature has also surfaced in which AR effects can be seen.
Through AR effect, users will be able to use dynamic facial filters during video calls. After the new update, many types of light effects will also be available. WABetaInfo has also said in its report that WhatsApp is working on another feature, after which users will also be able to edit the background during video calls.
