Raipur:- Meta-owned WhatsApp has released a new feature for users. With this, users can easily find the people and groups that are important to them. This new feature allows users to add contacts and groups as favorites, allowing them to filter chats more quickly.
Apart from this, the favorite filter has also been extended to the call tab on WhatsApp, so that users can speed-dial their family or friends. The company said that this new feature will reach all users in the coming weeks.
This new feature of WhatsApp works as an additional chat filter that hides all conversations except the messages added as favorites. Chat filters were introduced in April this year, allowing users to view all messages, filter out unread messages, or display only group chats. At the moment, there is no further information on whether the 'Favorites' filter will come to the desktop and browser versions of the popular instant messaging platform.
Here's how to set contacts and groups as favorites for easy access on WhatsApp:
First, open WhatsApp and go to your Chats screen. Find and select the 'Favorites' filter to manage your favorite contacts.
Similarly, go to the Calls tab within WhatsApp and tap Add Favourites to add your favourite contacts or groups.
After this, select those contacts or groups from the list which you want to add to favourites.
After this, go to WhatsApp settings by tapping on the three-dot menu from the top right corner of the screen.
Then navigate to Settings > Favourites > Add to Favourites. Then confirm your selection to add your contacts or groups to the Favorites list.
