WhatsApp now lets you send animated stickers: Here's how

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to send animated stickers from GIPHY, a widely recognized GIF platform.

The update was announced by Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, in a recent blog post.

WhatsApp already integrates with GIPHY to allow users to easily send GIFs. With the update, they can also search for animated stickers provided by GIPHY. To send an animated sticker from GIPHY on WhatsApp, tap the sticker button and search using text or an emoji.

In addition to animated stickers, WhatsApp is also introducing Custom Sticker Maker for Android, previously available only on iOS.

The Custom Sticker Maker allows users to transform their photos into personalized stickers or modify existing ones using editing tools like crop, text, and draw.

Once created, these stickers are automatically stored in the sticker tray for easy access.

Users can also utilize Meta's AI chatbot, Meta AI, to generate more custom stickers.

WhatsApp has also made it easier for users to discover new sticker packs by previewing them in the sticker tray beneath the downloaded ones.

Users can now organize their sticker tray by pressing and holding a sticker to move it to the top or delete it.
