“Biased and motivated report…” MEA rebukes United States’ report on religious freedom in India

India on Oct 03 rejected the annual US Commission on International Religious Freedom report and termed it "biased and motivated". India rebuffed the report after the US federal Commission put India in the category of Countries of Particular Concern (CPCs). In its annual report, the US Federal Commission alleged violations of religious freedom in India. MEA rubbished the US Commission on International Religious Freedom's (USCIRF) report, calling the organization “biased with a political agenda”. While rebuffing the report, MEA urged USCIRF to desist from such "agenda driven efforts" and utilise time for addressing human rights issues in the US.
