There was a stir in Chaubepur area of Kanpur when the dead body of a girl student was found on the side of the railway track on Saturday morning. In the morning, local people found the student dead in a semi-nude state on the side of the railway track. After this the local people informed the police. Initially, there was talk of suicide of the student regarding the incident. However, due to no injuries and marks being found on her body, the possibility of murder followed by rape was raised due to her semi-nude state.
At present, the local police has identified the student as the daughter of a Muslim family resident of Maharajpur village of nearby Tatia Ganj. On getting information about the body of the student, the family reached Chaubepur on the spot, where they identified their daughter. Family members expressed various apprehensions regarding the incident. At present the police is investigating several apprehensions raised by the family members.
The deceased girl was an intermediate student and studied in an intermediate college in Mandhana. She used to go to Mandhana in the evening to study coaching. On Friday evening, the student had left her home to study coaching, but when she did not reach home till late night, her family got worried. After searching for a long time, he informed the police in the morning.
At present, after the body of the student was found in such a semi-nude condition on the railway track, the police has sent it for post-mortem and has started investigating the matter seriously. While giving information, the police said that neither her slippers nor her bag which she used to carry for coaching was present near the body of the student. This has made the matter even more suspicious.
In the case, Chaubepur police station in-charge said that information was received in the morning about the dead body of a student lying on the railway track in front of Panu Purva village of the area, after which the police team reached the spot and identified the body. The case is being investigated amid all the apprehensions of the family members including murder after rape.
A case has been registered in the matter after taking a complaint from the family members. At the same time, police officials say that anything will be clear in the matter only after the post mortem report comes. It is not appropriate to say anything in this matter right now.
