Free Gas Cylinder: The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has started a program of distributing free gas cylinders to the poor and middle-class people today as part of the Deepam scheme from the 29th of this month. But it also provided an opportunity to book the first free cylinder as a Diwali gift.
The gas cylinder will be delivered to the beneficiaries who have booked it from today i.e. November 1. Andhra Pradesh is starting this wonderful program from today on the occasion of Incarnation Day.
There are more than one and a half crore gas connections in AP. Under this Deepam scheme, the government is giving free three cylinders per year to those who have an Aadhaar card, ration card and LPG gas connection. The first cylinder will be given from today till March 31.
The government will supply cylinders from today to the beneficiaries who have booked gas cylinders from the 29th of this month. Door delivery is done within 24 hours, especially in cities. Gas cylinders will be delivered to homes in villages and villages within 48 hours.
The first of the 3 free gas cylinders being given by the government will arrive within two days. And for this, the beneficiaries have to pay the full amount first. Cash will be deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries within 2 days of cylinder delivery.

The price of a gas cylinder per beneficiary will be 851 rupees in the bank account. In Telangana, only 300 rupees per cylinder is given as a subsidy for 12 cylinders per year. In AP, the government will bear the entire cost of the gas cylinder. But completely free without any subsidy like in other states.
The government has already announced that everyone with a ration card is eligible for this Deepam 2.0 scheme. A check for the release of funds of Rs.895 crores for this subsidy was also handed over to the representatives of the respective gas companies.
As part of the Deepam scheme offered by the government, the government has already said that if anyone does not get gas even two days after booking, they can call the 1967 toll-free number and file a complaint.
The government will also soon notify the number to be contacted if the gas cylinder money is not deposited in the bank account. With the implementation of the scheme of free gas cylinders in the state, the government has to pay Rs. An additional burden of Rs 2,684 crore will be incurred, it said.
The list of those who will get three free gas cylinders per year is already with the government. The deadline for booking the first cylinder is from October 31 to March 31. The deadline for booking the second cylinder is from April 1 to July 30.
The government explained to the people that they could book the last cylinder anytime between August 1st and November 31st and get three cylinders free. In case the 3 free cylinders are not enough, the beneficiaries will have to pay the total cash of Rs.895 for the additional cylinders booked later.
