India's third most valuable bank, following Reliance Industries and TCS, has announced that its UPI services will be temporarily unavailable for maintenance on two days in November. UPI services will not be operational on November 5 from 12:00 AM to 02:00 AM IST, and again on November 23 from 12:00 AM to 03:00 AM IST.
During these scheduled downtimes, customers should be aware that:
- Financial and non-financial UPI transactions on Current and Savings accounts, as well as RuPay Credit Cards, will be unavailable.
- UPI transactions through various platforms, including the bank’s mobile app, Gpay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, and others, will also be impacted. Additionally, all UPI transactions will be inaccessible for merchants acquired by the bank.
This bank recently reported a market cap shift from Rs 3,662.78 crore to Rs 13,26,076.65 crore. The NPCI has also introduced new features like an auto top-up and increased transaction limits for UPI Lite, effective November 1, 2024, to support smoother small-value digital transactions.
