Former Indian cricketer Karsan Ghavri , who turns 75 next week, celebrated his birthday with close friends and family members in Mumbai over the weekend. The party, hosted by politician Krishna Hegde, saw a number of celebs including Salim Khan , Raveena Tandon, Ashutosh Gowariker , Madhur Bhandarkar and Salil Ankola in attendance.

Other guests included former Indian cricketers Balwinder Singh Sandhu with wife Bittu, Yajuvinder Singh with wife Leena, Salil Ankola, Nilesh Kulkarni and Samir Dighe, actors Tej Sapru, Mukesh Rishi, producer Rikku Rakesh Nath, Dr Nagraj Huilgol, industrialists Dilip Dandekar and Pravin Dongre and several others.
Guests enjoyed singer Vaishali Samant ’s performance while Salim Khan regaled the gathering with his anecdotes. The guests were spotted enjoying the performance and also happily chatting with each other. Birthday parties are a good time to connect with friends and Ghavri was seen having quality time with his industry friends, which included celebs from the world of cricket and films. Ghavri used to be a left-arm fast-medium pace bowler, with a long run-up and a high leaping action. Ghavri started his career playing Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra, but later he played for Mumbai. In December 2019, Saurashtra Cricket Association appointed him Head Coach of their Ranji Team. In 2006 he was head coach of Tripura.
