RISHON LEZION, ISRAEL (FEBRUARY 26, ANI: Thousands of Israelis thronged streets along the country's central city of Rishon Lezion on Wednesday (February 26) to pay their respects during the funeral procession for Shiri Bibas and her two young sons Kfir and Ariel. Shiri was kidnapped along with her children during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Her husband Yarden was also seized from their kibbutz, Nir Oz, but taken separately from the family. He was released on February 1 as part of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire that took effect a little over a month ago After her body was misidentified in a handover, Hamas released a body on Friday (February 21) which Israeli authorities confirmed to be Shiri’s. Israel’s army radio reported early on Saturday (February 22) that Shiri was likely slain in captivity with her children.
