
New Delhi:- Aadhaar card has become an important document in India. However, this is not a certificate of citizenship, but it is necessary for every citizen of the country, because with its help you can avail many services including banking, gas connections. Aadhaar card is the major document for children's admission. Since children's Aadhaar cards become young, it is necessary to update them.
According to the Unique Identification Authority of India, it is necessary to make children again biometric after the age of 5 years and 15 years. This process is called MBU. Under this, children's photos, fingers and iris are updated in Aadhaar. There is no fee for getting biometric updates between 5-7 and 15–17 years.
UIDAI said in a post, “Do you know about compulsory biometric updates i.e. MBU? On completing the age of 5 and 15 years, it is necessary for children to update biometric ie fingers, iris and photos in their base. This process is called MBU.
According to UIDAI, due to the biometrics update of the Aadhaar of children, there will be no obstruction in registration for any competitive examination. For this, if you are applying for higher education and Aadhaar card is mandatory, then there will be no problem in filling the form if MBU is.
How to update biometrics
If a child of your family has not been updated to a mandatori biometric update yet, then you can get a biometric update by visiting any Aadhaar Enrollment Center in UIDAI. This facility is available in some banks and post offices.
