Pakistani actor Sohail Sameer, known for his versatility and memorable roles in dramas such as Pehchan, Saya, Tere Bin, Guddu, Suno Chanda, Dayan, Ishq Huwa, and Aafat, recently spoke candidly about his personal life. Though he is widely recognized for his professionalism on screen, Sohail has largely kept his private life away from media attention.

In a recent interview on Good Morning Pakistan, Sohail addressed questions about his divorce from former PTV actor, model, and host Sophiya Ahmed. He revealed, “Yes, I got married to a news anchor, but we got divorced, and it has been 12 to 14 years since our divorce. I am now happily married, and my current wife is at home; she is a housewife.”

Sohail Sameer and Sophiya Ahmed had tied the knot around fifteen years ago and had appeared together in various media and television appearances. Their marriage, however, ended after a few years. The couple has a son, who currently resides with Sophiya abroad.

Earlier, Renowned actor Sohail Sameer, known for playing the role of Sohai Ali Abro’s uncle in drama serial “Dastak”, recently shared the most heartbreaking moment of his life during a candid appearance on a private TV show.

He recalled, “I was at a fashion show and about to walk the ramp when I received a phone call saying my mother had suffered a brain hemorrhage. At that moment, I didn’t know whether to step back or move forward because I was supposed to be paid after that walk.”

Sohail explained that the ramp walk was only 5 to 10 seconds long, and after completing it, he immediately informed the designer that he had to leave as his mother was critically ill. “The designer asked why I didn’t say something earlier, and I told him I wanted to earn that money through my hard work — not out of sympathy.”

He added that when he reached the hospital, his mother was in a coma. “I held her hand and said, ‘I’m here now, you’ll be okay. If you’re happy with me, press my hand.’ And she did. That moment was so powerful — I can never thank God enough for it.”
