A manhunt has been launched by police after a man reportedly failed to comply with the Sex Offenders' Register notification requirements following his prison release. Darren Inkpen, 55, was released from prison on November 13.
Inkpen was due to stay at a hotel in Leeds, but he "failed to register an address" and didn't turn up for a probation appointment, police said. West Yorkshire Police are searching for him and, after conducting " extensive arrest enquiries" to try and locate him, have now asked anybody with information that could help find the 55-year-old to get in touch with them.
He has links to the Kent and Sussex area, and it is believed he could be in the Broadstairs area of Kent, or Newhaven in Sussex, LeedsLive reports.
The force said: "Police are appealing for information to help locate Darren Inkpen who is wanted for failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders' Register.
"Inkpen, aged 55, was released from prison on 13 November and was due to stay at a hotel in Leeds. But he failed to register an address and did not turn up for a probation appointment.
