Lucknow Lulu Mall: The Income Tax Department has confiscated the bank account of Lulu Mall in Lucknow, which is a significant event. The sources claim that Lulu Mall in Lucknow owed Rs 27 crore in unpaid taxes. The Income Tax Department has taken control of the mall’s bank account since the tax was not paid on time.

The manager of Lulu Mall was charged with rape and blackmail.
Earlier this year, in July, there was controversy around Lucknow’s Lulu Mall. The mall manager was accused of physical abuse, rape, and blackmail by a female employee. The police had detained and imprisoned the accused in response to a complaint.

The lady, who works at Lulu Mall, said in the complaint that the manager sexually abused her and added a narcotic to her cold drink. He also took a video during the event, which he subsequently used to demand money from her. He reportedly threatened to post the footage online when she didn’t cooperate.

Notably, Lulu Group International, situated in the United Arab Emirates, was founded and is chaired by M.A. Yusuff Ali. The business runs retail chains and hypermarkets in many nations, including India. Five of the eight malls owned by the Lulu Group are situated in Kerala alone. Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Kottayam are the locations of the Kerala malls. There are three malls in Hyderabad, Telangana; Bengaluru, Karnataka; and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The hypermarket brand is used by the Lulu Group to run its shopping centers. Apart from hypermarkets, the Lulu Group also operates a number of retail establishments.

Plans for expansion in Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and other cities
The Lulu Group intends to open more locations in many cities in the meantime. The Group revealed specifics of its ambitions for corporate development earlier in February. The company is working on a new project in Nagpur, Maharashtra, as part of the growth. According to Ali, the chairman of the Lulu Group, the firm is now looking to expand into a number of locations, including Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. One of Ahmedabad’s biggest retail centers will be the Lulu Mall.
