Deepti Sharma: After India won the fifth and final Twenty20 International on Tuesday, all-rounder Deepti Sharma of Team India gave his thoughts on the team’s 5-0 series sweep over Sri Lanka. The squad is concentrating on each game separately, with the T20 World Cup still a long way off, she said while discussing her views on being the greatest wicket-taker in Women’s T20Is.

Deepti highlighted the advantage of having many match winners on the squad and said that while the Women’s T20 World Cup is the ultimate aim, the team is concentrating on capturing each match and series at a time.Right now, the T20 World Cup is too far off to consider. We are taking it match by match and series by series, even if the World Cup is undoubtedly the ultimate aim. We’ve had a variety of match winners, which is fantastic for the squad,” she said.
India won by 15 runs going into the fifth Twenty20 International match. Indian bowlers held the visitors to 160 in their 20 overs while chasing a goal of 176.
Although Sri Lanka batted well, it was ultimately insufficient. Chamari Athapaththu, the captain of Sri Lanka, left early, but the outstanding Imesha Dulani and Hasini Perera combined 79 for the second wicket to keep their team in the hunt.
But Sri Lanka was just 16 runs short due to late innings wickets. India reached 175/7 thanks to a stunning fifty from captain Harmanpreet Kaur and a furious cameo from Arundhati Reddy in the last over.
