New Delhi: Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher had a proud moment at the premiere of his directorial 'Tanvi The Great', but it was the rare red carpet appearance of his wife, Kirron Kher, that truly tugged at heartstrings.
Kirron, dressed in a classic red embroidered salwar suit paired with bold silver jewellery and a matching handbag, walked in holding her husband's hand, her first major public outing in a while. Joining them was their son, Sikander Kher, completing the family picture.
The trio appeared at the film’s premiere on Thursday evening in Mumbai, and videos of the moment have since gone viral online. In the clips, Kirron is seen gently guided by Anupam, who ensured she was steady and supported throughout.

Fans' Mixed Emotions
Fans were happy to see the beloved couple together, but many noticed Kirron’s slow movements and shared their concern in the comments. "What happened to her?” one Instagram user wrote. Another responded compassionately, “She’s fine and is recovering. Let’s pray for her rather than discuss her health condition. It must have taken her a lot of courage to get out of the house.”
Messages of love and strength continued to pour in, with others writing, "Hope she becomes lively and healthy again" and "Pray for her fast recovery."
Kirron Kher has been away from the public eye in recent years following her 2021 diagnosis with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Her return to the spotlight, even briefly, was clearly emotional for many fans.
Anupam, who married Kirron in 1985 after a decade-long friendship, recently spoke about their relationship in an interview with Raj Shamani. “It’s not like I have the best marriage in the world,” he shared. “Exhaustion is a part of any relationship… But memories will remain, and your intention to work on the relationship will remain. That is what has remained in my relationship.”
“I know I have hurt her sometimes, but what I have kept alive is my respect for her, my compassion, and my togetherness of emotion,” he added.
