Patna News: Four accused, including Tausif Raza alias Badshah, the main accused in the shooting of a convict Chandan Mishra on July 17 at Paras HMI Hospital in Raja Bazar, Patna, Bihar, have been arrested from Kolkata.

The police have identified him as Tausif Raza, his cousin Nishu Khan, colleagues Harsh and Bhima. On Sunday, the four were produced in Alipur court and 48 -hour transit remand was taken, after which they are being brought to Patna. Confirming the arrest, Patna SSP Karthikeya Sharma told the media that many important revelations have been made during interrogation. Initial investigation revealed that the conspiracy to kill Chandan was hatched at Nishu Khan’s residence in Samanpura.

All four arrested from Kolkata

Police investigation has revealed that after the incident, the accused escaped Kolkata via Gaya. Through technical investigation and CCTV footage, the teams of STF and SIT arrested the four from Anandpur area of Kolkata on Saturday night with the help of Bengal Police. The white vehicle from which Tausif ran, has also been recovered.

This is how the plan was made

A total of eight to nine people have been involved in this murder. The search for four other shooters involved in the incident continues. Police are raiding different locations. Chandan Mishra was murdered by Sheru gang due to mutual rivalry. According to the information, the friendship between Tausif and Sheru was in Beur Jail in Patna. Earlier, Chandan was planned to kill Chandan in jail, but when the plan failed, he was targeted after coming out on parole.

Criminal history is being investigated by other accused

The criminal history of other accused involved in this murder is being investigated. Many cases like attempt to murder, Arms Act and liquor smuggling have already been registered on Tausif, while Nishu has been booked for demanding extortion and arms crimes. Bihar Police is engaged in questioning the arrested accused to get to the bottom of this murder.
