According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature has been seen in Android version 2.25.21.23 of WhatsApp Beta. Currently, some selected beta testers have got this feature and in the coming weeks it will be made available to other users as well.

How will it work?

Till now, users on WhatsApp could set their profile photo only from camera, gallery, avatar or AI image. But after the new update, when you go to edit your profile, you will also see the option to choose a photo from Instagram and Facebook. That is, if you have an old photo on your Insta or FB which you now want to put on WhatsApp, then you will neither have to download it nor take a screenshot. You will be able to set the same photo on WhatsApp in just one click without losing quality.

Accounts will have to be synced

To use this feature, the user will have to link his WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram accounts in the Meta Accounts Center. Meta started providing this feature earlier this year and now many inter-connected features have also come through it.

Meta is constantly trying to connect its platforms. Now users can share Instagram story directly on WhatsApp and add WhatsApp button on business accounts so that customers can reach directly on WhatsApp. This new feature of WhatsApp will not only make the profile settings of users easier but will also prove to be another big step towards better integration between Meta apps.
