Destination X viewers slammed one contestant just minutes into the third episode. The BBC programme returned on Wednesday (August 6), with Gavin and Stacey star Rob Brydon once again guiding the contestants on a mystery journey. Transported to various secret destinations throughout Europe aboard a coach with tinted windows, participants must deduce their whereabouts. The objective requires competitors to pinpoint their exact location through tasks, challenges and hints, whilst being purposefully misled with false clues.

The contestants were handed their first clue as the episode opened, showcasing giant red balls on a roundabout. Speculating what this could mean, Daren suggested: "How about meatballs? Italian meatballs." Saskia put her hand over her face and laughed to herself as Daren attempted to explain his idea. "If there was a bit of spaghetti sticking out somewhere?" he theorised.

Appearing to mock her co-star, Saskia exclaimed: "Wait, Daz, you think that was spaghetti and meatballs?"

Attempting to defend Daren's idea, Judith explained: "I think he's interpreting what the balls could've meant."

Speaking to the camera, the 58-year-old taxi driver admitted he was "ridiculed" for suggesting the idea, and confessed his confidence has been knocked since he started.

Daren said: "I was ridiculed for suggesting they were meatballs. But that's what they looked like to me. I'm not feeling like I'm doing too good at this at the moment. I lost my confidence a bit. Everyone else seems to be getting it. I don't know, it's tough."

Also backing his co-star, Nick chimed in: "I think that's a good shout, Daren."

Noticing that Saskia remained silent while the team were brainstorming, fans hit out at the 25-year-old for teasing Daren.

One viewer fumed: "Saskia is quick to laugh at Daren's meatballs suggestion but she's literally offering nothing apart from trying to work out who she can trust. She belongs on 'Big Brother' not this."

Another raged: "Jesus Saskia is beyond insufferable for someone who doesn't come off intelligent to put it mildly."

Also slamming the star, a third said: "Saskia is a cocky condescending t**t laughing at Daren's meatballs."

A fourth echoed: "Saskia laughing at Daren for his suggestion, the attitude after offering nothing herself is shocking!"

The show aired a major twist which saw James eliminated from the show. The 23-year-old E-commerce manager was pitted against Ashvin after Josh chose to save Daren.

After hit exit, a frustrated James said: "I'd have expected to be saved and I do feel a bit blindsided by Josh but if Josh told Daren because he viewed the rest of us as a threat then I couldn't say I'd do anything different."
