PM Modi launched Nagpur-Pune Vande Bharat Express!

The Vande Bharat Express train service running between Nagpur (Ajni) and Pune in Maharashtra was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. Special preparations were made on the occasion by the Railways. Prior to the inauguration, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke to passengers and children aboard the train in Nagpur. He explained in detail about the modern facilities and technology of Vande India.

According to railway officials, the operation of this high-speed train will reduce the journey time between Nagpur and Pune. Equipped with modern design, sophisticated technology and high speed, this train will give passengers a fast, safe and comfortable travel experience. This is also expected to strengthen business, tourism and cultural relations between the two cities.

Prime Minister Modi on Sunday (August 10) flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains simultaneously from KSR railway station in Bengaluru. These include trains from Bangalore to Belagavi, Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune. Railways believe that these trains will increase regional connectivity and provide world -class travel experience to passengers.

On Saturday (August 9), PM Modi shared information on the social media platform X that he would remain in Bengaluru on August 10, where the three Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off and the inauguration and foundation stone of urban connectivity projects would be done.

In Bangalore, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the metro’s Yellow Line (RV Road to Bomasandra), which has a length of more than 19 km and includes 16 stations. Made at a cost of Rs 7,160 crore, this line will increase the metro network of Bengaluru to more than 96 km. Also, he also laid the foundation stone of the Bengaluru Metro Phase-3 project costing Rs 15,610 crore.
