Adam Zampa Pulled Up for Offensive Language in First Odi Against South Africa

New Delhi: Australia Leg-Spinner Adam Zampa has been reprimanded for breaching level 1 of the ICC code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel DURSONL DURT PERSONL DURSONL DURSONNEL DURSONS Cairns. It relates to “Use of an audible obscenity during an international match.”

Zampa has received one demerit point on his disciplinary record, marking his first offense in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the 37th over of south Africa’s innings, when zampa used inapprite language after a misfield and overthrow off his own bowling. The remarks were caused on the stump microphone and broadcast live.

Under ICC Rules, Level 1 Breaches Carry a Minimum Penalty of an official reprimand and a maximum penalty of 50% of a a player’s match fee, Along with one or two Demerit Points.

As zampa admitted to the offense and accepted the proposed sanction, there was no need for a formal hearing. The decision was confirmed by andy pycroft of the emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match References.
