Delhi’s CM Rekha Gupta gets Z category security, now 24 hours armed personnel will be deployed CRPF

New Delhi: The central government has increased the security of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The Union Home Ministry (Union Home Ministry) has taken this decision after the attack during public hearing at CM residence on Wednesday. Paramilitary forces have been deployed outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Along with this, many more major changes have been made in his security. The central government has provided them with Z class security of CRPF. CRPF personnel have reached the Chief Minister’s residence and have taken the responsibility of security from Delhi Police (Delhi Police). Along with the security of the CM, security has also been increased around the Chief Minister’s residence and office.

CRPF now under CM’s security

Rekha Gupta was attacked on Wednesday while talking to citizens at the ‘Public Hearing’ program. After this, concern was raised about their safety. Especially in view of the political atmosphere of Delhi, this concern had increased further. Earlier, Delhi Police used to protect the Chief Minister. The security of the Z-Category is one of the highest level of security provided by the Central Government. It consists of more than 20 jawans, close security guards, drivers and escort vehicles. This security is given only to those who are more in danger.

Case filed against accused in these sections

In this attack, accused Rajesh Khimji was immediately apprehended by the police. He was produced in a Delhi court late evening on Wednesday, from where he was sent on five days police remand. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 109 (1) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). The attempt to murder has been accused under this section, which can be sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment and fine.

Accused on 5 days police remand

The team of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Special Cell questioned the accused on Wednesday. According to the police, Rajesh Khimji came to Delhi by train for the first time from Rajkot on Tuesday morning. He stayed at the Gujarati building on Civil Lines. Khimji’s mother, Bhanuben said that his son did so because of his love for dogs.

Big change in security of CM Rekha Gupta

The mother of the accused apologized to the Chief Minister for the attack on behalf of her son and said that his family is poor. The way the Chief Minister was attacked, there is no security lapse, so CRPF has been given the responsibility of security. The Z-category security means that now the security personnel will be with the Chief Minister at all times.
