Desk: Elon Musk’s AI company XAI has opened its Grok 2.5 language model. In the coming 6 months, Musk is also planning to make Grok 3 models available for everyone. In February this year, Musk and his team launched Grok 3 through live-streaming. Apart from this, Musk has earlier mentioned that he is planning to launch Grok 5 models by the end of this year.

Musk wrote on his X post that Grok 2.5 was his best model of last year, and now it is open-source. Grok 3 will also be open-source in the coming 6 months. Earlier, XAI also opened the Grok 1 model last year.
Musk’s competition company Openai has also launched two new open-sources models this year. META has already opened its LLAMA series four times. China’s Qwen and Deepseek companies are also dominating this sector by launching the open-source models.
