Yunus raised hands on Rohingya issue, said- We do not have resources, find the world

Rohingya refugee problem bangladesh: Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, has made up his mind to pursue the issue of Rohingya Muslims. Yunus recently said about the 13 lakh Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh that there is no proper resources to keep such a number of people in their country. He has appealed to the international community to find some measures. The future of millions of Rohingya refugees has once again come under threat from his statement.

Speaking at an international conference held in the Cax market, Younus said on the issue of Rohingya refugees that, this is a serious problem. It is difficult to keep so many people in our country. The international community needs to remove permanent utility to provide relief to the Rohingyas.

World’s largest refugee camp

The Cox Bazaar, situated in Sudur, Bangladesh, has been the world’s largest refugee camp for the last eight years. After violence in Rakhine province of Myanmar in 2017, more than seven lakh Rohingya Muslims came to Bangladesh in search of asylum in a few days.

Where the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave him shelter. The United Nations called that military action an attempt to eliminate a society on racial basis. Yunus said, ‘We have many challenges, our sources are limited and external help has decreased. He appealed to the international community to find a permanent measures of the Rohingya crisis.

Threat to the future of children

Yunus said that, there are more than half of the refugee children in the Cox Bazaar camps, who live in smiling conditions in tight huts made of bamboo. He informed that the assistance from abroad is continuously decreasing. Due to this, many schools have been closed and the future of millions of children is under threat. During this, Rohingya refugees also took out a rally with placards and posters in their hands. On which it was written, “No more refugee life”, “Stop massacre” and “return home is the final solution”.

The number of refugees is increasing continuously

Since the beginning of 2025, about 1.5 lakh new Rohingya refugees from Myanmar have reached Bangladesh, which has deepened the human crisis already there. While the Myanmar government calls its military action an anti -terrorism campaign, the United Nations considers it a planned ethnic cleaning. The situation of refugee camps is getting worse day by day.
