Dangerous Stunt Caught on Video
A video showing a man executing a perilous stunt on a moving Scorpio vehicle in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, has gone viral online. The footage was reportedly captured on a highway under the jurisdiction of the Baghpat police station. Following the video's widespread circulation, local authorities swiftly intervened, leading to the driver's arrest.
In the video, the individual is seen driving the SUV with both front doors wide open. He then exits the vehicle through the passenger side, leaving the steering wheel unattended while the car continues to move. The man climbs onto the bonnet and stands there, showcasing his reckless behavior. It is believed that another vehicle filmed the incident as it drove alongside the Scorpio.
The driver faced a hefty fine of ₹28,500 under the Motor Vehicles Act for his dangerous actions. The Hapur Police confirmed via a post on X that the individual has been charged, and his vehicle has been confiscated. A total challan of ₹30,500 has been issued against him.
Police Response and Legal Action
The police issued a statement regarding the incident, stating, "A video of a person abandoning the steering wheel and climbing onto the bonnet of a moving Scorpio car while performing stunts went viral on social media. The Hapur Police took immediate action, apprehending the driver along with the vehicle, and enforcing the MV Act. A challan of ₹30,500 was issued, and the car was seized. Further legal proceedings are underway."
