Unraveling the Circumstances of Nikki Bhati's Death

The circumstances surrounding Nikki Bhati's death have raised serious questions regarding the statements made by her family. Nikki, who reportedly suffered a tragic fate due to dowry demands in Greater Noida last week, was cremated by certain members of her in-laws' family, with her father-in-law playing a significant role in the last rites.

Nikki passed away on the night of August 21. Her sister, Kanchan, who is also married into the same family residing in Sirsa village, Greater Noida, accused her husband Vipin and other relatives of setting her on fire. Kanchan recounted that she fainted upon witnessing her sister engulfed in flames, while the in-laws allegedly fled the scene.

Nikki's father, Bhikhari Singh Palya, claimed that all in-laws had escaped except for her father-in-law. However, a video has surfaced showing that her father-in-law and other relatives were indeed present during the cremation, with her father-in-law lighting the pyre.

Shortly after the funeral, at 12:40 PM, Nikki's family lodged a police complaint against her husband Vipin, Kanchan's husband Rohit, and both her mother-in-law and father-in-law, accusing them of murder. The police apprehended all four individuals. During his arrest, Vipin attempted to seize a police officer's firearm and was shot in the process, sustaining injuries.

A disturbing video from last week also emerged, depicting Vipin and another woman dragging Nikki by her hair. At that time, Vipin was shirtless and had visible bloodstains on his body.

Kanchan stated, "Both of us sisters endured continuous mental and physical abuse in our in-laws' home. They frequently expressed dissatisfaction with the dowry, demanding an additional Rs 36 lakh. I was severely beaten between 1:30 and 4 AM on Thursday morning. They remarked, 'We received dowry from one sister; what about the other?'
