Firdous Jamal has made waves once again, this time directing his criticism towards film star Shahid. In a recent podcast appearance, Firdous openly expressed his thoughts on Shahid’s acting, claiming that the former film icon was never a true actor.

“I have never understood Shahid’s acting,” said Firdous, adding that while Shahid was undeniably a handsome man, he never met the criteria of a skilled actor. “He doesn’t fit the definition of an actor by any standard. I’ve always wondered why his name is mentioned alongside the best actors,” Firdous stated.

This remark came after the host of the podcast mentioned Shahid along with other notable actors like Nadeem Baig. Firdous then took a jibe at Shahid’s place in the industry, saying, “Shahid is an accidental actor, and accidents can happen anywhere.” He even compared Shahid’s legacy to that of actor Rangeela, sarcastically stating, “Well, if that’s the case, then Rangeela should also be considered among the greats.”

Firdous Jamal’s statement has stirred considerable debate, especially as Shahid was one of the most popular film stars in Pakistan during the 1980s and 1990s. Despite his popularity, Firdous does not see him as a talented actor but rather as someone who found himself in the right place at the right time.

This isn’t the first time that Firdous Jamal has been outspoken about his views on his colleagues. Earlier, he had criticized actress Mahira Khan, claiming that her age was apparent in her performances, and had also targeted actor Humayun Saeed, accusing him of exploiting his resources and “robbing” the craft of acting. His comments about Humayun, in particular, sparked a great deal of controversy, with many defending the actor’s skills and career.
