Standards will be decided according to every state

DOT has decided that now telecom companies will have to follow the quality parameters according to every state. This means that instead of implementing the same rules in the entire country, services will be evaluated according to the problems of every region. Companies have to ensure that they serve according to the set standards.

Report will have to be given every month

The Department of Telecommunications has directed telecom companies to submit a detailed report to the quality of service to the government every month. Based on the report, it will be checked what is the situation of the network and which area needs to be improved. Especially the problems of call drop and internet speed will be tested closely.

Big decision on TRAI’s recommendation

Telecom Regulator TRAI had already suggested that strict steps are necessary to improve the quality of the service. Based on the same, DOT has sought opinion from companies and asked to respond within 15 days. After this, companies will be given concrete instructions for improvement by analyzing the report.
