Anupam Bhat, former chief financial officer of Airtel Africa, has joined financial services startup BillCut as CFO.
This comes a few months after former Paytm chief operating officer Bhavesh Gupta joined the company as copromoter and strategic advisor, along with Goals101 founder Visham Sikand, who took on the same role, as reported by ET in May this year.
Bhat, with more than two decades of leadership experience in financial services, has served as the former director (IA) and CFO of Airtel Africa (Anglophone), regional controller of Bharti Airtel, and chief financial officer at Goals101, among other roles.
“The opportunity to leverage technology and financial expertise to make a tangible difference in how millions of Indians manage and reduce their debt is truly inspiring. I look forward to helping BillCut scale responsibly with accessible and affordable solutions,” Bhat said in a prepared statement.
Founded in 2022 by Sachin Madon, Alabhya Pandey, and Tanish Sharma, BillCut is a fintech platform that helps users shift their unpaid debt to a more affordable repayment structure in partnership with non-banking finance companies, such as Tata Capital, DMI Finance, and L&T Finance.
“Anupam’s addition to our leadership brings invaluable financial experience that perfectly aligns with our mission to navigate the next phase of our evolution,” said Tanish Sharrma, cofounder of BillCut.
